Rugs tell stories. Their patterns and designs often reflect the lifestyles and mindsets of the people who live on them. The Grass collection has its origins in the rural areas of Turkey. To this day, the mostly female weavers there take care of the animals on their farm and cultivate the fields during the day, then weave rugs featuring cows, trees, and simple stables in the evening. They don’t need a predefined design template to do so, instead following their intuition and relying on their craftsmanship.
